The Best Grilled Corn On The Cob Recipe With 8 Other Unique Recipes For Summer Cookout

Who said eating healthy is boring? Eating healthy is never boring when there is such yum food recipes and meal ideas available. In this article, I present my personal favorite recipes for grill corn on the cob and best 10 recipes for that perfect summer cookout.

1. Grilled Corn On The Cob

Grilling corn on a bbq is something so good and yet it is healthy. Try this unique recipe where I grill the corn on a hot bbq grill. When it starts to blacken or when you see those chars appear means that is when it is done. Rub a spice mix made of salt, pepper (add paprika for a hint of heat) with some lemon juice. Do try it out.

2. Grilled Salmon

Salmon is high in omega-3’s which makes it a perfect bbq item for a hot summer day. Start by marinating salmon with some olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic and lemon juice. Let it sit in the marinade for a couple of hours if you have time on hand, if not, throw it on the grill right away. Salmon cooks fast so be careful not to overcook it.

3. Burgers

Who wouldn’t want a burger on a summer bbq cookout. Try the classic grilling of the bbq patty and enjoy the burger with your fav kind of dressings and buns.

4. Grilled Chicken Kebab Skewer

Chicken kebab skewers are yum and healthy. They are so versatile that you can literally marinade chicken in any kind of marination and yet it would come out pretty awesome. Try this unique marinade: use chicken thighs for this recipe, add olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic, paprika, chopped cilantro leaves and some lemon juice. Grill it on a charcoal grill to your liking and serve with salad.

5. Pork Chops

If you’re a fan of pork, then pork chops are a must grill on your menu. Pork chops always stand out with unique flavor and is a healthy option as well compared to other red meats. Try to get that extra charred/crispy outside.

Steaks are another one of my personal bbq favorites. Use steak of your choice and season it well. The art of cooking perfectly grilled steak lies in controlling the heat on the bbq grill. Steak may be put on high heat to start with until the crust develops and then it shall be moved to a low heat side for that perfect internal temperature.

7. Grilled Vegetables

Grilling vegetables of your is a must whenever grilling meat. It is important to keep the food balanced so that we can digest the red meat well and keep the food healthy.

You can choose different kinds of veggies from the likes of asparagus, string beans, to bell peppers, and zucchini. Just cut them per your liking and put it on the grill to cook. You can also use skewers for veggies like bell peppers and onions that are cut in cubes.

8. Grilled Lamb

Grilling lamb is similar to grilling beef or pork chops. For me personally lamb chops is my favorite cut for grilling. Keep the marination simple with just salt, pepper, and some olive oil, lamb provides its own unique flavor, so keep the marination simple and minimal so as to not overwhelm the natural flavor.
